ロータスは 1981年 当時 "Talbot Sunbeam Lotus" で優勝して以来、
30年ぶりに ワールドラリー・チャンピオンシップ に復帰する。
今回の Exige S をベースに、FIA "R-GT" のレギュレーションに準拠し、
300馬力にディチューンされ、車重も1200Kg に変更された "Exige R-GT" も
フランクフルトに登場している。
今後は このクルマを複数のプライベート・チームにリリースし、モンテカルロ、
ツール・ド・コルス、サンレモ等の実戦で戦うことになる。
なお、このラリーカーと並行して、これのロード・バージョンの開発も
匂わせている様だから、特に 期待したいところだ。
