Caterham は、ニューヨーク州 Ｐｏｕｇｈｋｅｅｐｓｉｅ をベースとする、"Dayson Racing" を
米国における SP/300-R のディストリビューターとし、彼らとLora Cars の 長年に渡る
リレーションシップを基に、今後アメリカでのSP/300-R のユーザーの管理と
レース・サポートを行っていく事になった。
新しく SP/300-R のオーナーになる人達は、既に それなりのレースや
サーキット走行をわきまえ、ワンランク上の意識レベルルを持った人なので、
ケーターハムとしても、それらのユーザーをフォローしていく意味で、
ダイソンとの連携を選択した。
ダイソンとローラは、ここ２５年に渡る長い付き合いの中で、お互いを充分に
信頼しあえる仲であり、近年では ALMS(アメリカン・ルマン・シリーズ）に参戦し、
ウィナーとなる等 好調な成績を収めている。
私共は、こういうクルマを いち早く察知し 日本に持ち込むのが 本来の業務だ。
ウチ自身は 決してレース屋ではないので、サーキットに於ける諸事情に関しては、
其れなりのエキスパートに任せるのが セオリーであろう。
それこそが ユーザーにとっての充足と満足感を得てもらう、最良の方法だと考えている。
この SP300-R に関しても 同様である。
この沈滞した日本で、自身を鼓舞し 元気を出すには、こういうクルマを手にして、
自分の傍らに置いて スキル・アップしていくのが "最良の方法" ではないのか !?
私自身も、この１月に バーミンガムでデビューしたSP/300-R を目前にして、
それらの事を連想し、このクルマを日本にリリース出来ることを鑑み、
感動を得られたのは、なによりであった。
